Frequently Asked Questions
Can I really save money buying a used car?
Yes, you can save
money! Lots of money! Once you know how the system is
set up to work, you can take advantage of your new
knowledge and beat the salesman at his own game. It's a
lot easier than you think, too. Once you have the
basics down pat, the rest comes naturally. And because
the system never changes, you'll be able to use my book
over and over again.
Does Car Salesman Tells All reveal everything about
buying used cars?
I will teach you how
to
buy
a used car. The lessons work in any circumstance, at
any size dealership
or used-car lot, and no matter what kind of car you plan
to purchase.
Car
Salesman Tells All
explains how
the entire used-car buying process works. It explains
how the salesman thinks, and what goes on behind the
scenes. You will learn how to negotiate and save a lot
of money. The only thing it doesn't tell you is
which used
car to buy, although I provide links to reputable web
sites for just that purpose.
What kind of secrets do you reveal?
Every secret I know
is revealed to you. I teach you to figure out how much
a dealer paid for the car, how to make an offer, when to
talk and when not to talk, and when to get up and start
to walk out. I also reveal the dirty little tricks the
salesmen use to try and confuse you. There's a lot of
secret stuff going on, but you'll learn what it is.
What is the biggest secret you reveal?
That's easy. The
biggest secret I reveal is the fast talking hustle that
awaits you in the finance office. You won't
believe
what goes on! In fact, when I have told people some of
the stories, they honestly thought I was making them
up. I can tell you this: if you have already bought a
car and financed it through a
dealership, you are
not going to be happy when you find out what I know
about your transaction ... and I wasn't even there!
What makes you an expert?
Good question.
Well, I sold cars for seven and one-half years. I
out-talked, out hustled, and out-negotiated the best of
them. I took money from people when they told me they
didn't have any more. I sold used cars for thousands
more than necessary and laughed all the way to the
bank. I made an excellent living by being very, very
good at what I did.
What is the number one reason people get taken by
used-car salesmen?
That's an easy one.
The number one reason people get taken to the cleaners
is the faulty assessment they make about their knowledge
of the used car business. I could never figure out how
people could come into my place of business and think
they know more about selling cars than me. It made no
sense! I have talked with many different people about
this and they all said the same things ... they learned
the tricks of the trade from someone else, like a
neighbor or brother-in-law.
But they never
learned them from the one person who knows the tricks
cold,
the
salesman himself!
From the point of view of someone working on commission,
it taught me a valuable lesson: let people think
whatever they want for the proof lies in the pay check.
My largest check, which covered a two week pay period,
was over $13,000. Case closed.
Many car buying guides are good for a year. How long is
yours good for?
I'm happy you asked
because it's an important question. The information
is timely and valuable, it will likely last forever,
which makes buying my book a very good deal! Where else
can you buy information that never goes out of style?
You see, the system
itself never changes. Salesmen and managers come and
go, but the business chugs along working the same way it
did 50 years ago. Once you know how the process works,
you will be able to use the lessons over and over again
whether you buy more than one car for yourself or help
someone else buy one for themselves. That's why I took
the time to explain the ins and outs of the business,
what goes on behind the scenes, and what the
salesman's life is
like. All of these things are important because you can
use
Car Salesman Tells All
to buy as many
cars as you want. You can keep saving and saving.
